Got used markers? ColorCycle them!
A Crayola ColorCycle collection bin is now available in the office for your used markers to be repurposed rather than sending them to landfills!
The ColorCycle program repurposed more than 70 tons of expended markers in the US and Canada since 2013. It uses advanced plastic conversion technologies to make wax for asphalt and roofing shingles and generate electricity.
Mrs. Hatletveit, our STEM specialist, spearheaded this by collecting used markers from classrooms. We are excited to add an additional collection bin to the office. Please support us by sending your kids in with any used markers – even non-Crayola brands, highlighters, and dry erase markers! With the help of parents like you, we can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year. Remember, don’t throw out that used marker—ColorCycle it!
